Our first event of 2024 – BANDSTAND – was a great success! The Little Sisters, Residents and donors stepped back in time to the Fabulous 50s, some even dressing the part! Antun’s of Queens Village was spectacular with an eclectic and delicious cocktail hour and dinner as well as a superb catering staff. The dance floor was never empty as guests danced to the music of our old friends, The Acchords, who somehow managed to perform everyone’s favorite song. A 50s night would be incomplete without an appearance by Elvis and many took the opportunity to have their photo taken with the King. We raffled off a grand total of 25 baskets filled with all sorts of wonderful goodies, and it was fun to hear everyone cheer as each winner was announced! As our guests were leaving, tired and somewhat achy from all that dancing, there was a smile on every face. On behalf of the Little Sisters, our beloved Residents and staff, we want to thank everyone who contributed to the event and hope to see those who were unable to make it this year next year!
