Queen of Peace Residence hosted its annual Mother’s Day Tea in honor of those special women who place family before self.
Our auditorium was decorated in garden party fashion. Each table was covered with a floral print cloth and each place was set with floral embossed dinnerware.
A delicious assortment of pastries, cakes and cookies went perfectly with steeping tea.
Residents shared stories about their own mothers, and they spoke about raising their children and how their children are now raising theirs. A handing down of traditions from generation to generation; a beautiful gift in the cycle of life.
The most common thread was clear: mothers never stop being mothers no matter how old their children become which is something to be grateful for.
There is no love like a mother’s love and the Little Sisters pray for each and every mother here with us and those watching over us.
