In full Madi Gras fashion, Residents at Queen of Peace let their hair down before stepping into the solemnity of Lent.
Bright colors, glitter and feathers were just some of the festive embellishments on masks and headpieces. Purple, green and gold were the colors of the day reflected in balloons, streamers, dinner plates and our magnificent photo banner.
Music filled the auditorium as Sisters and staff went table to table telling a quick joke, sharing a quick story and, of course, swapping Mardi Gras beads!!
We may have lacked floats like they have in New Orleans, but our dear Residents most certainly floated back to their rooms in high spirits.
