It’s no hidden secret that Queen of Peace Residence has beautiful gardens, but did you know that we also have Residents who love to garden? It’s true!And while the days of pulling on gloves and kneeling in a garden bed are a thing of the past, gardening comes in many forms.
This sparked the idea for a Plant With Love Day and all of our green thumbed Residents showed up to pot plants and herbs that will adorn the rooms of our Home.
Newspaper covered tables, fresh bags of soil spilled open and pots, gloves and seeds were available to all.
With music playing in the background, Residents got to work thoroughly enjoying playing in the soil again. Each pot was carefully crafted with just the right amount of soil, nutrients and water to enable growth.
After clean-up, Residents continued to enjoy each other’s company while noshing on donuts with tea or coffee.
