Grandparents are the best, aren’t they? They often help us get out of the trouble we likely deserve to be in and are known to sneak us the treats mom doesn’t approve of. But most importantly, they love us unconditionally! The Little Sisters know that Grandparents Day takes place officially in September, but they also know these special people deserve to be honored on more than just one day. And so they hosted an ice cream social inviting the families of all our beloved Residents. Children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren ran and played on the lawn; it was wonderful to see so many families gathered together! Queen of Peace is more than a Home. It is THE home of some of the kindest, warmest and most interesting people you would ever be lucky enough to meet. Watching generations meld together in pure affection was heartwarming and inspiring. So remember, no matter if you call them Grandpa, Nonna, Poppa, Memaw or whatever revered title your family chooses, PRAY for your grandparents daily and VISIT them as often as possible. The are a vital, important and delicate link in your family chain.
